Bob Salisbury Engineering principally designs and builds Formula 1 show cars.

Established in 1996, the company is situated in a purpose built unit, located on the prestigious commercial development within Silverstone Circuit. The core business has always been motorsport-oriented, reflecting the racing history of the founder and managing director, Bob Salisbury.

Bob's motorsport career spans four decades, and with his experience and understanding of the mechanical and technical side of the motorsport industry, gained during his years as a racing driver, race engineer and team owner, is respected by colleagues and competitors alike.

The company has grown to it's present level over a number of years and can offer a wide range of services, most with a motorsport and engineering bias.

Formula 1 Show cars

Bob Salisbury Engineering started to build show cars for Jordan F1 in the 1996/7 season. The company went on to organize and run the show car division on behalf of the racing team, providing services including the preparation of their ex Formula 1 race cars and show cars, world wide transportation and running of the cars during the events.

The company has since built many links with the current field of Formula 1 teams providing similar services to highest standards.

Formula 1 Simulators

The company was asked to turn one of its show cars into a F1 driving simulator. It quickly proved to be a success drawing crowds at promotional events and further spreading the sponsors message to the public. The company started to manufacture the simulators alongside show cars, using the current seasons chassis to produce the most up to date simulators as possible.

With the advances in electronics and computing power the simulators became ever more sophisticated, offering the public the opportunity to experience the sensations of driving a modern day Formula 1 car.
